This watercolor of a rose in a jam-jar was painted directly, using SimmTrace, No drawing. Just painting over the virtual image, so easy, and great fun! I will make a video of this way of working soon.

Will it work on a mac?
Hiya, love your work,Nina, very colourfull! In response to question about Simmtrace (www.simmtrace.com) The software is for PC however it is a simple idea, you just need a webcam preview window and a way to make overlaid images semi-transparent. I know that one mac user used vlc media player to make the webcam window transparent.
I built a crude version of your frame for the webcam and installed your software. It works wonderfully. Drawing was the one barrier that was keeping me from moving forward with my desire to paint. I feel this allows me to jump that hurdle.

Nice concept. Very helpful!
May I present it on my blog? to show an example with how I may use it on starting a draw. I think it's a great idea, and saves a lot of time :) It deserve to be well known.
